History of the Old Stone Building

The old stone building, constructed in 1867, is a Provincial Heritage Site. Here’s a great link detailing its history. The Manitoba school site is now the Selkirk Healing Centre, a residential school run by the Government. I don’t think they snowshoe anymore. One of the teachers at the new school site e-mailed me a few years ago. He was mildly amused by the content on the Unofficial Web Page. If there is such a thing as spirits, they haunt the upstairs classrooms, the office, and the various honeycombed partitions down in the basement.
